I have two IBM 9113-550 (Power 5) servers that are running HA cluster. The non-active node crashed overnightand I have not been able to figure out why. It looks like hardware related issue with the network but can't figure it out. I do not have IBM support on this these machines. Wondering if someone could be so kind to assist! Thanks in advance.

Not sure if this will help anyone, but the answer lies within the result of the cfgmgr output.

bestest1[/] ># cfgmgr
Method error (/usr/lib/methods/cfggoent -l ent1 ):
0514-086 Cannot perform the requested function because the specified

This machine was purchased directly from IBM and we have not changed out any parts in this machine, so I did not want to believe that an adapter that was working perfectly fine for years would no longer work in the machine it came with. Furthermore, this machine is part of a two node HACMP cluster and at the time I post this question, the other machine in the cluster was fine. I've tried replacing the adapter with similar cards but to no avail. Then yesterday I noticed these error messages in the errpt of other server that was working fine:

8924BF96   1025174416 I H ent0           Device not supported
8924BF96   1025174416 I H ent1           Device not supported

EAA3D429   1025150516 U S LVDD           PHYSICAL PARTITION MARKED STALE

I went to the below IBM site and look up the 4-digit feature code (sticker on the adapter) for my server and viola, the adapter is really not supported. How do you buy a server from a company and its own OEM part is not supported? That is a new one for me. Anyway, replace the card with a supported one I found on the site and all is well!
