Outlook clean up conversation for Gmail

Im looking for something that works just like Outlooks feature of clean up but for Gmail. I have so many redundant emails from conversation chains that i want to delete all those and keep the current email which has the entire conversation. Does Gmail have something built in just like Outlook for this? If not is there an app that can accomplish this take?

thanks in advance

I found a solution and the only one that worked as suggested on the spiceworks forums. Install gmail via IMAP on outlook and the cleanup tool works

I'm fairly certain there is not an app for it. Google is very protective of your (their) email and how you (they) store it. If the feature isn't already built in then you get what you get. Perhaps there's a super Gmail user that does know of way to do this. Are these chains from multiple people? The reason I ask is because when I test this from another account and send replies back and forth the entire thread is contained and doesn't appear to be unmanageable. Perhaps I don't understand exactly what you want to remove. Can you show me an example?

Let's say you and I are writing email back and forth. The subject of the email is servers. We have 20 emails in the chain. The newest email shows the entire chain. So I want to delete the other 19 redundant emails rather than keeping all 20.

I see. Well I don't think big brother gmail works like that. I might be wrong but... I'll check it out and see if I can delete the previous replies and let you know and if there's an efficient way to do it.
