Mraid35x.sys Is Corrupted

I'm attempting to install Windows 2000 Advanced Server operating system on a Dell 4600 server due to the following error: STOP:c0000218 {Registry File Failure}.  The registry cannot load the hive (file): \SystemRoot\System32\Config\SOFTWARE or its log or alternate.  It is corrupt, absent, or not writable.

During the last stages of OS preparation for installation the following message was displayed: Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer.

Researching the issue we determined that installation was halted because the operating system couldn't see the online Raid drives - 2 Mirrored disks (Raid 1), 3 disks configured as Raid 5.  And, the drives are online.  The solution we was to download and install PERC3/DC drivers.  In attempting to install the drivers the following message displayed: File txtsetup.oem caused an unexpected error (512) at line 1041 in D:\nt\private\ntos\boot\setup\oemdisk.c.

Can someone recommend a solution to this problem?  The name of the downloaded file is perc-cerc-w2k-5.48-A04.exe.  It can be found within LSI Logic PERC3/DCL, PERC3/DC, PERC3/QC, PERC3/SC/PERC 4/Di, CERC ATA 100, PERC 4/SC, PERC 4/DC, PERC 4e/DC, Perc 4e/Di, PERC 4e/Si, V.5.48.0.0, A04, File Name: RAID_DRVR_WIN_R99973.EXE on the Dell website.

Thank you.

The Poweredge 4600 was supplied with two different on-board RAID controllers - the PERC 4/DC or the PERC 3/di.  The two devices do not use the same driver.  Is it possible that your motherboard uses the other controller?
