Restore from Windows disaster recovery backup to a Hyper V virtual machine

Hello.
Question 1:
Does anyone know if it is possible to restore directly from Windows server disaster recovery backup taken from a Hyper V virtual machine to a new Hyper V virtual machine ?

Description: If you run a Hyper V environment on a host running Windows Server 2012, where the Virtual Machines are running Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012, and those VM's are themselves running Windows Backup to a shared folder on another location, is it possible to use this Windows Backup Disaster Recovery to directly restore the VM's as they where ?

Question 2:
If you have the same Hyper V environment as described above, but instead let the Hyper V Host machine make the backup of each VM, using Windows Server Backup, will you then be able to restore that VM as is ?

I know it is possible to restore a Windows disaster recovery on a physical server, but I heard rumors this is not possible on a Virtual Machine using the built in Windows Server backup service.
Can anyone answer me please ?
