how can I change out an SD card for an Alcatel OneTouch TracFone wireless phone?

Hello and Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am getting a new, programmed SD card for my Alcatel TracFone wireless phone which brings me to the point of this upcoming question.  What are the steps for removing an old SD card and inserting a new one within an Alcatel OneTouch TracFone?  If these steps could be given using interactive and visual illustrations, that would work best.

            Thank you

            George

Hello and Good Evening,

I am happy to say this matter is now resolved :-)  At this point, I would like to add a few pointers for future reference to anyone who might read this post and need further assistance.  First of all, there is a slight open area on the edge of the Alcatel phone which needs to be gently opened with the finger tip in order to remove the back cover.  Once removed, the battery will need to be removed by gently pulling it toward you where the top arrow is located.  At that point, the SIMM card becomes visible underneath a silver clip that goes across it.  Now, the silver clip does not lift up or down to remove the card.  Instead, the SIMM card merely slides out, thus, allowing a new SIMM card to be slid underneath the silver clip that goes across it.

In closing, I hope my closing comments make sense to you and all potential future readers of this post who may face a similar concern.  This task, like most similar ones, just require hands on experience though to acquire a full understanding of the necessary steps for replacing the SIMM card in an Alcatel wireless phone.  While it is self-explanatory, always power off any device before starting any sort of hardware maintenance.

Thanks George, just to be clear, my instructions were for removing the Micro SD card mentioned in your question (the black card immediately above the SIM card in the photo) & not the SIM card which you cover in your closing remarks.
