HP P1102w printer installation

Have trouble getting the driver installed on a new computer.  Tried wireless and usb and both end up with no driver installed.  What should I do?

Note:  using driver software from HP support site.

My HP P1102w installed without problems using USB on my XP machine.  All my other machines including Win 7 machines connect to it without any problems.

What OS is your machine?  Did you get any error messages?

I had it installed previously on a desktop with Windows 7, Windows 8.1, then Windows 10 with no problems.  I deleted the printer then restarted, them installed via USB.  Finally worked with no problems.  The blue light stays on all the time meaning, I think, that the wireless is not working.  I can print to it from a laptop, presumably through the computer's wireless capability - not directly to the printer.  While I'd like to ditch the USB cable, I'm content to leave well enough alone.  Thanks for sharing your experience.

In my apartment, I avoid wireless.  I have up to 79 wireless networks at one time in my area.  Too much interference.

By trial and error, I finally was able to resolve the problem.  I just cannot use the wireless feature.  However, it does everything I need.
