Attempting to Install VisualESXTOP

I downloaded VisualEsxtop. Extracted the files, but I cannot launch the application.  When I attempt to launch, it flashes a black window and nothing follows.  Has anyone experienced this behavior?

Check your Java versions, and if you have JAVA in your path, it's a JAVA Application.

and it can be tricky to get working correctly, and needs the correct version of JAVA, and with so many JAVA security issues, that were fixed since it was released, you may have difficulties.

YES.

Use JAVA 1.6. and nothing else, and that may not be compatible with the OS you have. This fling was released over 18 months ago.

Do you have working JAVA apps, working JAVA 1.6 ?

I will check my Java version.   Thank you for the confirmation.  I suspected as much.
