Hi,

I am getting the following error:

DPM cannot protect E:\ on  xxx.yyy.edu because case-sensitive support is not enabled on the DPM server. (ID 30194 Details: Internal error code: 0x80990AB3)

How do I enable case sensitive support on the DPM server?

Thanks

Thanks,

I was just able to find the solution and am now backing up my servers. By default the DPM server is set to caseinsensitive and the registry entry below turns it off.

Case sensitivity can be enabled on DPM by setting doing following 2 steps:

1. set registry key HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session
Manager\kernel\obcaseinsensitive value to 0
2. reboot the server.

To protect data on a production server with case sensivity enabled, the DPM
needs to be case sensitive.
