Our Spanish store's provider uses the EPOA protocol? What is that and how does one configure it in a Draytek 2830 router?
hi guys,
We have a store in Spain who no longer can access the internet. But we have had to resolve things remotely by configuring things and sending a new router every time, to no avail. Basically, the line is fine but it looks like our configuration is wrong for some reason.
Anyway, the provider tells me that they don't use PPPoA/PPPoE but they use the protocol EPOA?! So I'm assuming that something in the MPoA section of the router needs to be configured and rather than username/password, we have to put in the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway. But like I said, we have tried and can't get connectivity.
Do I have to select some sort of checkbox? Bridged mode?
Thanks for helping

What provider, and do you have the exact details that they mentioned?
ASKER
The provider is Telefonica/Moviestar. Yes, the exact details are:
Protocol: EpoA (which could be IpoA or MpoA in our English?)
VPI: 8
VCI: 32
IP Address: external IP
subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: external default gateway
That's it. No usernames/passwords etc as far as I found out.
