Mac OS client and windows client file sharing issue
So I have a client who has a mac pro destop(cylinder shaped) that they have a external storage array connected to via thunderbolt cable. Filesharing is turned on and folders have been setup for being able to access files. The issue I am having is that when a windows device creates and saves a new file to the shared directory on the mac, if the file is opened on the mac system for example an excel file, I get a permissions prompt issue on the mac.
I have tried to add admin permissions on the mac to the shared folder on mac for pc and still does not work when a new file is created. Also the primary user id on the mac is setup to login via icloud user info. Could that be what is causing the issue?
I can adjust file permission on folder to fix issue, but any new documents created has the same file permission issue...
Windows 7 amd windows 10 clients, and mac has el capitain os.
