Heyas,

Can anyone direct me to Database/Report Optimization documents, articles for Microsoft Dynamics that aren't part of the MSDN library, just became DBA for 4 such environments I would like to get up to speed with MS Dynamics AX and SQL Server interact with each other?

Any video courses youtube or paid would be awesome :)

Thank you.

interesting question, the main issue is every implantation is different, with different customazions, the product its self ships with 100s of indexes that may or may not be a benefit to your environment.

First thing to do is into Dynamics Perf 2.0 this will help you to understand performance issue areas and bad indexes

https://dynamicsperf.codeplex.com/

The next thing is to link yourself to LCS, this can then run an environment health check, to let you know any issue against best practice

Another useful link is

https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/axsupport/2014/09/05/ax-performance-troubleshooting-checklist-part-1a-introduction-and-sql-configuration/

I know you said not MSDN, but this is easier to read than most.

Hi Damon,

Thank you very much for that.

Anybody else with other resources I could look into?

Cheers.
