Acronis vmprotect 9 migration to 12 or veeam?

We currently have a single host at Site B which has acronis appliance installed on the host esxi 6 server.    The good thing with this is that the appliance can also backup the esxi, software is cheap and generally works ok (the site isnt critical) which is why were still using it.
Site A has a veeam server which s backing up and replicating two esxi 5.5. hosts.
This is clearly a better overall product for us in this environment as the server is separate.  Were also using the appliances for esxi backups only.

However i see that acronis is faster that competitors.  Unsure of pricing?

Could anyone recommend whether to upgrade acronis vmprotect to v12?  Does it backup esxi?  Move to veeam?  Costs?  Ditch acronis and use another product for esxi?

Many thanks

okay and from an appliance point of view, do these competitors offer appliances, as acronis v12 doesnt.
Yes,  both have appliances.

and Nakivo, can be installed on a NAS, so you have an ALL-IN-ONE hardware appliance to do your backups, backups stored on your NAS, and backed up by your NAS.

Qnap and Synology, and WD supported. It's **** good!

Sounds good.  SO it installed an agent on the NAS which you can remote into via GUI?
NAS is a iomega by the way...
It's installed as AN APPLICATION ON THE NAS!

The NAS runs the Application, and Backups up the VMs.

No Agent.

As far as I'm aware, there is no support fr Iomega as yet.

Right so we tested nakivo and it failed to backup any of our VMs.
Looking at unitrends now..
Well if it consistently failed, you NEED TO LOOK and investigate, no point in running away and trying another backup product!

Obvious time to test Nakivo support, or, here's an idea, POST A NEW QUESTION on EE, as Nakivo is a vendor here on EE, and you know what this thing called SOCIAL MEDIA works!

If you post a new question, NAKIVO FAILS TO BACKUP VMs, I'll poke the Vendor on EE for you.
Do you require any additional help, to close this question ?
