Is there a way to programmatically restart a VB.Net application when an exception occurs?
Hi Experts,
I have inherited a VB.Net application that is really buggy. It crashes randomly for no reason. Neither the users nor I have been able to identify any patterns that may be causing the app to crash. Having said this, I have not been able to replicate the problem.
The application is installed on a thin client, and the users use Citrix to access it.
When the app crashes they have to call the Help Desk so that they may close the app for them. The users don’t have access to the Task Manager.
Is there a way that I can close the application programmatically when this happens? I don’t want the user’s to have to constantly call the help desk. This isn’t very productive.

Hi mainrotor,
Do you have any follow up queries? Did you find the application level exceptions for your App that catch the error you are seeing?

Sorry all. I have been busy putting out other fires that have come up and taken priority since this post. I still haven't tried your suggestions. I will, though. Once I do, I will let you all know my findings.
