Hello IT World,

We have recently installed Citrix in our school. Because we have over 250 Staff we want to give all staff default taskbar with few programmes pinned to their taskbar for eg. word, excel, powerpoint etc..

Does anyone has a step by step guide on how to achieve this please?

You can do this by customising the default user profile or simply using a script such as https://gist.github.com/sirlancelot/368910

I prefer not to use logon script because we recently got rid of a system which had lot of logon script and eventually slowed the login time for user.

Will your suggestions work on  both windows 7 and windows 2008 server? As, we are using mix of VDI and Session Host.

Ideally I would like to apply registry settings based on the group membership.

Is there a better way of doing this?
