micro services spring boot application error

Hi,

I went to eclipse and created new Project--->spring starter project--->gave and name and finish.

I see project created under IDE(similar to manual steps from http://start.spring.io/)

When i opened pom i am getting below error. please advise on how to fix it.

Project build error: Non-resolvable parent POM for com.example:demo:0.0.1-SNAPSHOT: Failure to transfer org.springframework.boot:spring-boot-
starter-parent:pom:1.4.2.RELEASE from https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2 was cached in the local repository, resolution will not be reattempted
until the update interval of central has elapsed or updates are forced. Original error: Could not transfer artifact org.springframework.boot:spring-
boot-starter-parent:pom:1.4.2.RELEASE from/to central (https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2): connect timed out and 'parent.relativePath' points
 at no local POM

Again, like your other questions, Maven is not able to connect to the internet, most likely because of proxy issues.

I am checking below link

http://docs.spring.io/spring/docs/current/spring-framework-reference/htmlsingle/

and searched there for below
java-based configuration
found

7.12.5 Composing Java-based configurations
Using the @Import annotation

Much as the <import/> element is used within Spring XML files to aid in modularizing configurations, the @Import annotation allows for loading @Bean definitions from another configuration class:

to understand more about configuration and issue.
i tried right clicking on project-->maven==>update project also did not work.

i went to below site searched for Starter POMs as well
http://docs.spring.io/spring-boot/docs/current/reference/htmlsingle/

please advise
