Hi Guy,

I have individual Esxi 5.5 host server and 9 VM's installed for testing purposes. I have also installed license for this esxi server and all running great so far.

Now I figured that I need this licence for the production environment and my question is if I will delete the licence from my current server my esxi will stop functioning ? like I will not be able to use it anymore?

Your ESXi will not stop to working, but if you change your paid license to a free license, you will loose all features present in the paid license, but since you said that it is a standalone host and assuming that host is not managed by vCenter, I believe you will not loose anything, except if you use some kind of  virtual machine backup software, since a paid license is required to enable the backup API of a vSphere ESXi host.
