Windows 2008R2 Remote Desktop Server | Outlook profile creation tries to connect to old Exchange server.
Hello,
We have recently migrated an Exchange Server 2010 to Exchange 2016. All was completed successfully.
We have a Windows 2008R2 Remote Desktop Server that is used for Outlook client connectivity.
When a new profile is being setup, and Outlook is launched, it tries to connect to the Exchange 2010 server which is no longer present. Trying to do the same from Control Panel appears to work correctly (based on two tests).
Is there any easy fix to this? Outlook version is 2010.
Thanks in advance.

Repair a profile in Outlook 2010 or 2013
In Outlook 2010 or 2013, click File.
Click the down-arrow next to Account Settings, and then Account Settings.
On the Email tab, select your account (profile), and then click Repair.
Follow the prompts in the wizard, and when you’re done, restart Outlook.
