if any application is sending email directly from system with email address from abc@domain.com

can we create same email address separately  with exchange mailbox

will it work

Yes, it will work, in general terms you can be aware of these rules:

- You can configure N amount of applications from different systems and all of them can use the same address i.e. abc@domain.com.
- You do not need to create a mailbox account in order to send the emails from your applications (even if you use a non-existing email address).
- You can create a mailbox with the same address used by your system to send emails, and it will not interact with the name used for your applications. The only relationship is that at this point you have a 'mailbox' to receive reply emails to that address.

Note: All of this assume that you have the @domain.com registered in Exchange as an authorized domain. i.e. The default domain that you use.

Additionally, if your system is authorized by Exchange, it is free to use any email address, even one not registered in your Exchange server.
