Hi,

I just converted my project from VS2010 to VS2015 and noticed ReportViewer no longer works. What is the solution to use ReportViewer with VS2015?

Thanks,

Victor

Report Designer - part of SSDT() in vs2015.

Install it seperately from-
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/mt186501.aspx

Hope it helps.

You can also install it from the Tools > Extensions and Updates menu. Open that, choose "Updates" in the leftside listing, and install the "Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) Update". That will download a file, and you launch that file separately from VS.

Just curious - did the answers help you to install that component in Visual Studio? I ask because I updated to 2015, and the only way I could get them to show up in my toolbox was by doing a Repair - Modify installation of Visual Studio. I tried the install that Prawan and myself suggested, and it did not seem to resolve the issue. The Reporting components did NOT show up in my toolbox. Only after doing the following did the Report items show up:

1. Open Control Panel >> Programs & Features
2. Select my Visual Studio installation (in my case Visual Studio 2015 Professional with Updates)
3. Click Change
4. Click Modify
5. Select the Windows and Web Development >> Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools
6. Click Update

After the update completed, and I rebooted the machine, the Report group showed up in my toolbox, and I was able to use the Report tools.
