SQL Server 2016 Developers Edition Install

Hello, I have downloaded SQL Server 2016 Developers Edition and run the setup wizard > Selected Upgrade an existing install. (SQL Server 2014)

The process went through successfully however it hasn’t upgraded my version of SQL Server 2014 Studio Manager, that is still there.

Does this need to be installed and run separately?

No, there are no additional steps (other than a restart which may be required). You should see SSMS as a standalone product (SQL Server Management Studio) in the Start Programs menu.

Yes. SSMS is now a separate install that works with previous versions of SQL Server and needs to be patched separately.

You can get the latest version of SSMS from: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt238290.aspx
If you are interested in knowing what changes from build to build of SSMS, you can refer the Change Log at: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt588477.aspx

Ok thanks.

I have now downloaded the latest version of SSMS > Run It > Successfully installed > I can't find the new version

After installing both parts of software, does anything else needed to be done to see the new version? (2016)
