RFC forms change management
Is it common in IT sections that when users/departments are requesting RFC (request for change), to use a standard form to get all the background info on the change. I have found that our section has a very fragmented approach to accepting RFC's, and there is no consistent/standard template form completed by the change requester, each seem to communicate the info to the IT section in different ways.
I am trying to build a case for using a standrd RFC template, but some examples on risks in not using a standard form would help me build this case. Can anyone give any examples on risk of the lack of a RFC template form?
