You can achieve this using treated fabric and/or ribbons, transfer paper, or iron-on paper with an inkjet or laser printer.

One method is using iron-on transfer paper, which you can pick up from your local crafts store, fabric store or purchase it online. Iron-on text, images, etc., tend to be able to withstand multiple washes. This method has been around for a long time. There are videos on how to do this available from the craft paper vendors and hobbyists.

Directly printing onto ribbons will probably cost you more. Vendor Jacquard has both software and treated ribbon supplies to help you with this project. Jacquard's prints directly onto the ribbon, but the method is the same as above. You're still printing on paper that's been lined with a fabric ribbon. Here's their walk-through video on how this is done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWPNGYsKatg

Jacquard's not the only brand out there for printable transfer sheets. Avery also carries this product and many others.
