I use Windows 7 and Visual Studio 2015 Community Edition.

How do I verify what version of IIS is installed and turn IIS on if in fact it is off?

And what is the IIS quick launch name?

How do I open it?

I did find both IIS and IIS express are both installed in c:\Program Files

I thought from the Run command line I could type "IISM" so I could open and configure it.

It just runs when you launch a web project--there is nothing to configure (usually). You can tweak the config files found in your "IIS Express" directory within your local profile folder (i.e. My Documents), but this is usually a rare thing.

And I prefer using IIS since that's what the tutorial uses.

I assume IIS is not installed based on the following image. The difficulty for me to knowing which boxes to check...

IIS not installed
Perhaps if you tell me how to install IIS, and then how to launch it, this will put me back on track with the tutorial? Thanks
