I have a wordpress site:
http://jaymillerconsulting (DOT) com/expertise/
if you visit that page and click on ABOUT, you will see for a split second the link titles appear.  I am using images and swapping them for links and I don't know how to suppress Wordpress from showing the link name.

Thanks in advance

I would sudgest you to remove spans and leave it inclosed in <a> element, and apply css rule  color: transparent; and text become invisible.
