Windows 7 restore - won't recognize media
We have made a Windows 7 full bare metal backup and we now need to restore it. We have placed the backup on a USB attached drive and also on an internal drive but regardless when we boot with the Windows 7 DVD and go to restore/recover Windows can't seem to see the drive/backup image.
Is it possible that the Windows 7 DVD doesn't have the right drivers for the motherboard - too new - so that it won't recognize on bootup? If so how would we get around that?

Unfurtunately windows 7 does not have the best backup manager, I recommend acronis or true image.

Nobus,
Thanks. And thanks for the Paragon link. Again it's just a matter of timing for me to try Paragon. The systems we are trying to image are in use so it's squeezing in the time to do the work.
When you say " you need to include the usb 3 drivers in the windows install dvd " how is that done?
