what is the difference between Cisco catalyst 2960 and Cisco series SG300-52MP?

I am going to replace our Cisco catalyst 2960 48 port poe switches. I am considering going with the Cisco series SG300-52MP. I see that this model uses primarily the GUI. Am i still able to use the CLI and its full configuration just like my current switches? Are there any draw backs to converting to these 300 series switches?

please advise and thanks in advance

I just need it for basic layer 2 functions. Nothing special.  A few vlans and maybe some routing . Very basic.
The sg300 don't stack at all. Use the sg500x if you want 10g sfp+ or the sg500 for 1g uplinks.
Good spot, Aaron!  You are correct; the 300 doesn't stack.  I meant to say uplink at the front rather than stack.

So the 300 model ports are not 1gb ? I'm not going to be stacking so not worried about that.
