Copy multiple iTunes playlists to attached iPod

In iTunes 12/MacOS 10.12.1, how I select multiple, contiguous playlist (left column) items to copy to connected iPod.

Shift/Ctrl/Option/Cmd, or combinations with 'click' do not work. I am looking to copy about 45 playlists = hundreds of songs to iPod ios 9.3.5 [older 64Gb iPod], I want to copy as a set or group of 45, not x-at-a-time.

Your Ipod should synchronize with itunes when you connected to your pc?
