Stupid git question

Hi, I'm learning GIT to be able to manage a new website. I get the repository, the pull, the push, the add, the commit, the branches, all of that. What I'm not getting is how my beautiful web page finally makes it to the server and out to the world.

Does that happen when I pull it to the repository?

hi Mel,

Assuming you are using github. Just keeping your code in the github repository won't  actually make your site available to the world. You will need to "host" it somewhere. If your site doesn't rely on any server application, then you can use gihub io service to host one site for free. It's very simple though I don't have instructions on hand. You can google "how to host a website with  github io" but if you don't find what you need I can dig up the instructions.

I think they're using bitbucket, so I googled that and have this now: https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucket/publishing-a-website-on-bitbucket-cloud-221449776.html  That should answr my dumb question, thanks!
