Parallels 2X - HyperV Server 2016 - RDP into running VM

I have a HyperV 2016 server host  On it I have installed a Win 7 VM.  The HyperV host only has command line.  I have downloaded and installed portable Parallels 2X to the host and am trying to 2X into the Win 7 VM.

The 2X client doesn't seem to be aware of the Win 7 VM?. Am I supposed to install something in the Win 7 VM for the 2X client i am running from the HyperV Server 2016 console to work?

Is 2X compatible with HyperV Server 2016?

Are you trying to connect to the Host or the Guest - Windows 7 VM

Do you have RDP enabled in the Windows 7 VM?

Parallels 2X Client uses Native RDP

ASKER

I am trying to 2X into the VM from the console of the HyperV host.  RDP is enabled on the VM.  This is what I downloaded - http://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/2x_client_portable.

It installed it ot the host without a hitch and then I ran it but it could not detect the Win 7 VM.  Am I missing a step?

We did not have this problem with HyperV 2012 R2.  Also we were able to use FreeRDP, 5nine and also copy over MSTS from Server 2012 R2.  Maybe it's too early in the cyle.  Do you have any other possible clients we could use? Some Powershell script?
I have some posts into 5Nine, FreeRDP, 2X - I will followup and let you know what I find out.
I have had no updates from any of the vendors so I will close the question.
