What is the limitations using cloudstack in vmware environment vs kvm

Hello, I was curious to know what are the limitations, if any, using cloudstack on vmware opposed to on kvm(bare metal). I'd like to maximize the use of resources on each host(server) and think that vmware may be the way to go.
Let me know
Thanks

You can actually use many Hypervisors

  • BareMetal (via IPMI)
  • Hyper-V
  • KVM
  • LXC
  • vSphere (via vCenter)
  • Xenserver
  • Xen Project

As for KVM versus VMware vSphere and a limitation, you could argue the disadvantage (limitation) is that you have to License and Pay money for VMware, also VMware is not Opensource, but ALL supported hypervisors have good and great features.
