SQL Server 2008 R2 - Updating Table/Fields Documentation
Hi experts.
I have already created a Visio drawing involving tables/fields that currently match a database. Each set(s) of tables has a tab. I could not use reverse engineering so this was done manually.
I also have a spreadsheet (excel) that currently has all the table/field listings.
On SSMS: I run a query each morning to give me the latest changes/additions to the database. Then I go into the Visio Drawing and update if needed.
I basically got the query mentioned above from the reports option in SSMS, that part is disabled.
I am looking for ideas on improving this method?
Please help and thanks....
