Visual Land Premier 10 tablet/laptop running Windows 8 will not power on
Hello and Good Evening Everyone,
I have a Visual Land Premier 10 tablet/laptop running Windows 8 that will not power on. I did connect the power chord to it in hopes of recharging the battery, but, nothing happened. The power light is a very faint or weak blue color too.
At this point, I am needing any troubleshooting tips which might help resolve this issue. I look forward to reviewing all suggestions.
Thank you
George

You need to examine the pins. Assuming your DVM is normally isolated, try carefully measuring across different pairs. If you get a 5V reading you have found the pair. If no connections yield 5V, the charger may be defective. I use my own DVM in this manner.

Hi Everyone,
As promised, here is a copy of the suggestions given by the Visual Land Team. Used in conjunction with the suggestions and links provided within this post, I am confident others who might read this information and face similar issues will be assisted as well.
"We need to know if the problem is with the wall charger, USB charger, or the battery. In order to troubleshoot the issue we need to have the wall charger, USB charger, and something small enough to use the reset hole on the tablet. For the reset hole you can use a paper clip, back of an ear ring, or a needle. Please have the tablet on the charger for at least 1 hour prior to pressing on the reset button.
Plug wall charger into device, leave it plugged in for 10 seconds. If nothing appears on the screen, perform a soft reset. Push on the reset button/hole. Press and hold when you feel a click for about 5-10 seconds. Release and wait up to One Minute to see if the charging battery appears.
Plug USB (110 and 10D models plug into OTG/Charge) in the USB charge port, leave it plugged in for 10 seconds. If nothing appears on the screen, perform a soft reset. Push on the reset button/hole. Press and hold when you feel a click for about 5-10 seconds. Release and wait up to One Minute to see if the charging battery appears".

Thank you very much for your suggestions and especially resourceful links. At this point, I do have a troubleshooting question. How may I use my digital multi-meter to measure the voltage output of the charger? The charger itself indicates a desired voltage output of 5.0v.
