I am looking to setup a local web server. The application uses PHP7 and Mysql. Do you have any recommendations for a server?
I have tried apache but there was an issue getting other computers on the lan to access it.

If your operating system is Windows you are looking at a WAMP setup: Windows + Apache + MySQL + PHP, you can get few pre-configured All-in-one solutions, for Windows I can recommend AMPPS: http://alternativeto.net/software/ampps/ you can see other alternative below, but they are just different implementations of the WAMP principle. Those programs will install all the packages and let you run and configure them using graphical interface which is nice.

On Linux this stack is called LAMP, for example you can install a package that will take through a process of configuring all of those packages as well.

When it comes to seeing yoour web server on a computer connected by LAN you may look at network setup on your machine, WAMP / LAMP packages may help you with that.
