Windows Server 2012

I have a server with resources that are continuously spiking and it is difficult to pinpoint the issue.  Does anyone have any counters that they would suggest for monitoring/isolating the issue?

Without knowing more specifics, I'd suggest using PAL...Performance Analysis of Logs Tool.

https://pal.codeplex.com/

Install this and then run it.  Pick the Threshold file title of your system...In this case with not enough information I'd pick System Overview or Quick System Over view.

Collect the data for a period of time then run the Performance logs that are collected and see what doesn't look right in the resulting report.
