Forcibly removing a 2003 server from the Domain

I have two domain controllers on my network. One a 2008 the other a 2003. Both standard. The 2003 has issue. Some services will not start on it. I am going to forcibly remove it from the Domain. This is the first time I have had to forcibly remove a domain controller. I am getting the message below. I want to make sure before I continue that the removal doesn't blow away DNS on the 2008 box.

Any advice would be appreciated

Thank you.

Is there a reason that you cannot do a gracefully removal?
To do this you need to make sure that all FSMO are on DC's that will still be part of your domain.  If there will only be the 2008 than it will hold all five FSMO roles.
Have you moved or confirmed what FSMO roles the 2003 server holds yet.

It is very straight forward once you moved all FSMO roles.  The link highlights that.

ASKER

All the FSMO are on the 2008 server. I have verified that. There are issues with services that will not start on the 2003 box that will not allow for a graceful removal.
