Is that file a .html file? How do you open this file? Do you use a browser to open this file?

If yes, then simply open the website and click on star icon (Bookmark this page). Give a name and save the bookmark.

This bookmark will appear in Bookmarks tab.

One more way to do this is when the website is open just drag and drop the tab to the bookmark toolbar. You will have a shortcut to this website just below the address bar.

Oh. I thought it would be a website as the subject line mentions internal site.

Anyways, if it is a word file or some other file, why don't you create a shortcut on the desktop for easy access?
