The basic premise of your question has been answered. But the fact that you are asking is a good sign that you shouldn't do it alone. And I don't think asking questions in forums counts as having someone truly peer reviewing the work...

Active Directory is the *core* of most networks. Once installed, some changes are painful to do, so "small" oversights and mistakes are amplified. It takes planning and familiarity with the system, and no simple one-paragraph answer can cover that. This is one of those times that it is best to tell someone you need assistance. Whether that is a supervisor (we were all junior techs at one time) or a consultant (we all had to learn somehow), the risk of doing things wrong is just too great.
Cliff's advice is spot on.  I've done this many times over the past 15 years and although I know what I need to plan for I usually have a surprise or two before I'm done.  I practiced this in a "lab environment" until my confidence built enpough to try it for real.
