OS Sierra Automator issues

Hello,
I have recently upgraded to Sierra.  I have been using an Automator Service to combine PDFs for several years.  Now suddenly it doesn't work.  

It seems that I store the newFileName variable but it is not passed to the action to rename the file.  The Get Variable does not return anything, yet the Set Variable right before it seems ok.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I solved this by first getting the new filename and then doing the Finder actions.  I have no idea why this had to be done as this Service worked fine for years in the older OS X.
