Dissect Cyber / "say2.us" and forged domains registered at Tucows

Last week, we were phoned by a company called "Dissect Cyber" (say2.us). The caller claimed to be a DHS contractor and said that our domain had been forged earlier that day and we may expect to receive phony requests for wire transfers. Sure enough, our spam filter caught two fake requests that same day, from the forged domain.

Both say2.us and the forged domain are registered at Tucows.

Does anyone in the security community have any experience with Dissect Cyber? What about Tucows? Anything suspect with either of these companies? Our research at this point is inconclusive but skewing toward "scam."

As long as you do not need to reveal further in any of your secret like login credentials or received unsolicited emails claiming that you are in dreaded state the intelligence shared may be worth deliberating to act futher. We do have to wary if phone and email scam are scheme to spoof legit company good intentions..
