This feature doesnt really prevent anyone from gaining access, it's just auditing. But yes, it can be configured in Office 365, take a look at Azure AD Identity Protection (<a href="https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/active-directory-identityprotection" rel="ugc">https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/active-directory-identityprotection</a>) or ASM/Cloud app security (<a href="https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Create-activity-policies-and-alerts-in-Advanced-Security-Management-367f25d3-10a0-4a91-bdae-70ebb7a79c98" rel="ugc">https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Create-activity-policies-and-alerts-in-Advanced-Security-Management-367f25d3-10a0-4a91-bdae-70ebb7a79c98</a>). Both of these require additional licensing, if you want free service you can configure alert notifications from the Security and Compliance center, but you cannot limit those to unknown IPs (i.e. they will trigger for *every* login).<br />

Or, as advised above, simply configure MFA and dont waste time reviewing logs *after* someone gains access.

Office 365 is a group of software plus services subscriptions that provides productivity software and related services to its subscribers. Office 365 allows the use of Microsoft Office apps on Windows and OS X, provides storage space on Microsoft's cloud storage service OneDrive, and grants 60 Skype minutes per month. Office 365 includes e-mail and social networking services through hosted versions of Exchange Server, Skype for Business Server, SharePoint and Office Online, integration with Yammer, as well as access to the Office software.
