vSphere 6 Managing Max LUN counts, Script to see LUN, RDM dead or unassigned LUNs etc.
We have had some issues with the max LUN count being reached on a few clusters even though the number of datastores are well below the 255 limit.
Is there a easy way to determine the maximum Luns assigned to hosts per vCenter, per cluster, per host? Something that will show you how many RDM's there are or dead LUNs, unassigned LUNs, anything that would count towards the 255 limit and prevent you from adding more LUNs to the hosts in a cluster?
Trying to find a method that is as easy as possible to get a accurate count. Will need to run it on 15 vcenters and dozens of clusters once a month or so. Even if I can run it per vCenter and it parses it out so you can see the cluster and host name that would make it much easier.
