execution of the windows script host failed. (access is denied.)

Hello -

On my 2008 active directory domain, I have a vbs script that need to run for users at logon (runs from \\domain-controller\Netlogon\, as dictated by their active directory account).  This script just sets every user's IE homepage.

For some users, this script runs perfectly fine.  For others, it fails, and they get this error:  "execution of the windows script host failed. (access is denied.)"

Incidentally, for those users who experience the failure, even copying the vbs script to their local machine and running it manually yields the same error.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance to everyone.

Check to see if the user has permission to the folder where the logon script is.  This is usually done by granting permission to the "Domain Users" group to the logon script folder.
