Converting Access 97 database to 2007 database

I need help at converting access 97 dao over 2007 accdb using ADO.  I am receiving the following error message: Runtime error 3847 ODBC Direct no longer supported rewrite code using ADO instead of DAO. I am including the module that use to work, if someone can help me rewrite the dao connections over to ado the connections files.  I am running my procedure against db2.  I think once i get the connections converted the procedure will run.

I once had such a task -- converting old (some Access 95, some Access 97) databases to Access 2010 format.  It was not possible to convert directly from such old formats to 2010 format, so I ended up making VMs for Office 97, 2000, 2003 and 2007, with 2010 on the main desktop.  I then upgraded the databases step by step, doing whatever modifications were needed after each upgrade (97 to 2000, 2000 to 2003, 2003  to 2007, and 2007 to 2010).  Some functionality was inevitably lost along the way, and would have to be either discarded or redone in the new format.  In some cases, after upgrading, I created a new database in the new format and imported all objects into it from the upgraded one, to ensure that the format was correct.
