Hi,
I am using ESXi 6.0, I am afraid that Slackware 9.0 could not recognize virtualized hardware (maybe with lowest virtual machine hardware version?)
I need this for production use, so probably VMware Workstation is not good for me.

VMware workstation or VMware ESX will be the best bet for you. Hyper-V won't support those OS's.
