View Message Size in Office 365 Outlook Webmail

I can see how to sort the messages by size so you get blocks of messages - 'Huge 1MB-5MB', 'Large..' etc but how can I view an individual messages size?

This needs to be done by students in a simple online test, so no Powershell answers!

Thanks

Just click on any message and if you have the reading pane view enabled it will display the size right below any attachments.  If you don't have reading pane enabled you must open the message to view that information.

There is no way to add this information to the list of messages though -- Outlook Web App is a limited feature application -- if you want more info displayed you must use the Outlook Desktop App (or another email client).

Sorry I do have reading pane enabled but can't see the size. Can you send a screenshot please?
This is a filter issue. When you look for attachments or whatever, you can filter a message list by file size ("Arrange by Size") with the smallest or the biggest at the top. The filter has to be repeated for each folder; there's no inherit of the filter settings. As for file size, like adding it as a message sort column like what you can do with the regular Outlook mail app, I don't think this can be done by default.

The category of sizes (for message grouping) are as follows:

Enormous (> 5 MB)
Huge (1-5 MB)
Very Large (500 KB - 1 MB)
Large (100-500 KB)
Medium (25-100 KB)
Small (10-25 KB)
Tiny (< 10 KB)
