Microsoft Visio Professional 2016 (PC) compatibility with Office 365. Bit of consternation here!
I have ordered a copy of Microsoft Visio Professional 2016 (PC) and the (secondary) Supplier warned me:
"Hi Kelvin, thanks for your order for 1 of Microsoft Visio Professional 2016 Win English 1 Licence Medialess (PC) , before dispatch just want to check with you that you know that Visio 2016 is not compatible with Visio 2013 or Office 2013 and cannot be installed with those on the same PC - ( If you install on the same device as an Office 2013 suite or Visio 2013, the 2013 version of the product will be uninstalled.)"
The statement in brackets (above) worried me...
Can someone confirm that they have successfully installed PC Visio Professional 2016 in the presence of Office 365 (which of course does NOT include any visio version). Thanks!
I looked at https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt712177(v=office.16).aspx. That raised Click-to-Run versions vs volume licensed editions of Office, Visio, or Project (using Windows Installer (MSI)). This went over my head.
Thanks!
Kelvin
