The section and the controls are set to shrink and none of them overlap. &nbsp;Unfortunately I can't share the d/b due to confidentiality issues. &nbsp;But I did try MoveLayout = false, PrintSection = false, and NextRecord = true and it worked.<br />

I agree but who are we to question the wisdom of MS? &nbsp;I just automatically set both to Yes now so I don't even remember what prompted the problem initially although I think it was a subreport.

I have a detail section of a report that is set to visible = false in the on format event. &nbsp;I have the section set to can shrink and the text boxes in the detail section set to can shrink. &nbsp;There are no labels in the detail section, only text boxes.<br />

I have a detail section of a report that is set to visible = false in the on format event.  I have the section set to can shrink and the text boxes in the detail section set to can shrink.  There are no labels in the detail section, only text boxes.
