VNX5300 vs Unity 400F AFA - performance difference?
I currently have a VNX5300 I use for VMWare datastores for my VM's. It's mostly 15k drives, I think 3 ssd used for tiering.
I've got an opportunity to get a Unity 400F AFA.
I am curious as to whether that will be a big speed improvement for anything form normal servers like a Print server, to SQL or Exchange servers.
We're a small-mid size university with 400 employees, couple thousand students.

awesome thanks. just one final Q. Would I have to worry about tiering or LUNs or trying to fine-tune the Unity to improve the performance of the VMs running on it?
or is it more hands off approach like Pure or Nimble?

Side question. So if my vSphere Virtual Machines are on the VNX currently, is it ok to connect the Unity to my ESXi hosts as well so I can migrate VM's from the VNX to the Unity?
Or will that cause a performance hit having two storage devices connected to my hosts/vcenter like that?
