Need to separate small office by VLAN...
Here is the scenario: I have a client who just purchased a small office building with six (6) executive suites. My client wants to bring in one (1) high speed internet connection and allow each executive suite to have it's own separate connection that is: on separate subnet secured from the other suites, allow DHCP on each secured subnet (there will be multiple devices in each suite) - example:
Suite 1 = 192.168.1.1 / DHCP 192.168.1.2 thru 192.168.1.20
Suite 2 = 192.168.2.1 / DHCP 192.168.2.2 thru 192.168.2.20
Suite 3 = 192.168.3.1 / DHCP 192.168.3.2 thru 192.168.3.20
Suite 4 = 192.168.4.1 / DHCP 192.168.4.2 thru 192.168.4.20
Suite 5 = 192.168.5.1 / DHCP 192.168.5.2 thru 192.168.5.20
Suite 6 = 192.168.6.1 / DHCP 192.168.6.2 thru 192.168.6.20
My thinking is I can achieve via VLANs, but I'm not sure where to start - I am new to VLANs. Can anyone point me in the right direction and/or give me an example how to set this up and what hardware can achieve this?
Thank you in advance for any and all assistance...it is greatly appreciated!!!
