SBS 2008 cannot logon remotely
When I tried to logon remotely, it looked like it was logging me on then a message said "a device attached to the system has stopped functioning." What should I do? The server seems to be running fine. We can all access the VPN and email and our asp.net app is working.
The server is located at a colocation. I can drive there to take a look, but would like to log on remotely, if possible, first.

Tried unchecking the Clipboard and also Printers, still gives the message A device attached to the system is not functioning.

Tried that, too. Still not letting me get on. Gives same message after it starts to log me on, says device attached to system has stopped functioning.

Maybe problem is in WinSat,,,, Your remote computer supporting WinSat and computer you want to RDP from not.
Try disable WinSat
Start > Task Scheduler (taskschd.msc)
Find Task Scheduler (Local)
Task Scheduler Library.
Microsoft > Windows > Maintenance.
Right click WinSAT.
Select disable.
Or just turn OFF desktop background on computer you want to connect to.

I drove to the colo and had to hard reboot the server. Seems fine now, I am able to RDP onto it.
I have noticed with this server that if I don't restart it once every 10 days or so, it gets funky. I think it has been about a month since I last restarted it (shutdown/restart).

You can try a clean reboot of the RDP server and check for the message
